Always looking to come up with new hooks and hook combinations to keep pace with the current lure fishing scene, Mustad has recently developed a terrific pre-tied assist hook set up for slow jigging.

Known as the Mustad Slow Pitch J-Assist , this dual hook rig is designed for fitting to metal jigs for demersal fishing.

 

• The hooks (10816NPDT) are tied securely on a chord and attached to a solid stainless ring
• The rigs are fitted with luminous beads on the hook shanks to increase visibility of the slow pitch jig in deeper water
• Hook sizes are 2/0, 3/0 and 4/0, all of which are chemically sharpened and super strong
• There’s no doubt the J-Assist will be spot on for jigging big snapper, as well as Nannygai, smaller Kings, Samson fish, Amberjack and all manner of Pelagic species up north
• They may even work on stickbaits as an alternative to in-line single or treble hooks, and should also be considered for metal casting lures on salmon and tailor
